In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian government implemented the ArriveCAN app in November 2020 to facilitate entry for all travelers entering Canada.
This app allowed individuals to provide their contact, vaccination, and quarantine information before arrival, reducing the need for paper forms and in-person interactions at the border, airport or any other port of entry.
While you don’t need to provide vaccination records at any port of entry now, you can still use the ArriveCAN app to fill up the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) declaration form before arriving at customs.
You can also provide information for you and your dependents using one account, making your entry to Canada much more effortless.
In this guide, I’ll share information about-
- The appropriate timing for filling out your information using the ArriveCAN app,
- The required information and your details,
- The step-by-step process of using the ArriveCAN app, and
- The necessary actions to take upon arrival at the airport or border
